About Solio

Solio keeps your clients, projects, invoices and notes in one calm place, so the admin around your work takes less of your week. It runs in the browser, as a Mac app and on iPhone, and everything stays in step between them.

Why we made it

Most CRMs are built for sales teams. Freelance designers, illustrators, photographers and studios need something smaller: somewhere to keep each client's details and brand, plan the work, send quotes and invoices, and remember what was agreed. Solio is that, and nothing more.

Why Solio

The name comes from sol, the sun. We wanted Solio to feel like a calm, bright place to start the working day: everything in view, nothing left in the dark. The assistant takes the same root, which is why it's called Sol.

It turned out to have a second meaning too. Solio is a real Latin word form, from solium, a throne or seat of authority, so it reads as “on the throne”. A happy accident: with Solio, you sit in charge of your own business.

Sol answers questions about your own clients and projects, drafts invoices and projects for you to check, scans receipts and researches companies before a pitch. It only works from your data, and it never creates anything without you pressing Create.
